The National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA revealed that over 1 million Nigerians have received their first shōt of the Moderna vaccine, which comes just after a month of the arrival of the vaccines in Nigeria.

 

This was disclosed in a statement by the NPHCDA on Tuesday. They also added that 168,152 eligible Nigerians have received their second dose of AstraZeneca as of September 7, 2021, in 36 States + the FCT.

 

“1,073,510 eligible Nigerians have been vaccinated with the first dose of Moderna vaccine while 168,152 eligible Nigerians vaccinated with 1st dose have collected their 2nd dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine,” they said.

 

The report added that Nigeria so far has vaccinated 53.7% of its Moderna proportion, and 24% of its AstraZeneca 2nd dose proportion.

 

Lagos leads after a month with 152,855 vaccinated with Moderna so far, while the Federal Capital Territory has vaccinated 19,085 residents so far.
