Over 7,000 poor and vulnerable households in Auyo Local Government Area of Jigawa State have received the stipends of N140m money under the Federal Government re-commencement Household’s Uplifting Program Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme.
Flagging off the payment under the Households Uplifting Programme under the Conditional Cash Transfer of the Federal Government Social Intervention Programm ( SIP) at the Auyo Council Secretariat, the Chairman, Ahmad Muhammad Sani, commended the laudable initiative of the Federal Government in curtailing poverty among rural dwellers through the payment’s of the Conditional Cash Transfer Money Scheme.
According to him, this pattern of payments has uplifted the living standard of the poor and vulnerable in our community at the grassroots levels as it helps immensely in making the people to gain employment based on one’s areas of commercial venture.
Available records have indicated that majority of the women are engaged in different economic programmes through the support of this Federal Government CCT support, said the council chairman.
