The winner of Big Brother Naija (2017), Efe Ejeba, has often been criticised for the depth of his rap lyrics, with many saying he is not a good rapper. However, the reality TV show star maintains that his sound and style have grown over the years.

Speaking against the backdrop of his Extended Play album, Against All Odds, Ejeba told Sunday Scoop, “I basically solidified my sound and style with this EP. I know for sure that when people listen to it, they would acknowledge the growth and certainty in my sound and style.”

He also noted that the songs on the album were influenced by his personal experiences and a need to inspire youths. He said, “Most of songs on this EP are based on my personal experiences. This is actually the realest music project I’ve ever made. I want my story to inspire others to strive against all odds.

“The purpose of this body of work is to inspire the youths and to solidify my brand, my sound and my style as an artiste. I expect people to connect with my story and resonate with my sound and style.”
