President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Emir of Suleja, Alhaji Mohammed Awwal Ibrahim, on his 80th birthday, September 8, 2021.

 

Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, joined family and friends to celebrate with the traditional ruler on the auspicious occasion.

He felicitated with Niger State Traditional Council, Suleja Emirate Council and all indigenes on the milestone.

He highlighted the career of Emir of Suleja, which started out as lecturer, registrar, permanent secretary before joining the political fray to be first elected Governor of Niger State in 1979.

 

Buhari, who said Ibrahim’s extensive work experience in many capacities in public service remained an asset to his community, state and the country, commended his diligence, discipline and focus in delivering results.

He said the emir’s contributions to nation building, including the acceptance to serve as chairman of the Niger State Government’s Committee on Reformation of Almajirci, further revealed his passion for education.

 

He prayed that the Almighty God grant the emir longer life, good health and strength to continue in good works.
