Two journalists with Roots TV arrested during the #NorthIsBleeding protest in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have regained their freedom.
The journalists; Tosin Busayo (cameraman) and Precious Uzoanya (reporter) had been arrested at Area 1 while covering the protest against the growing insecurity in the northern region which was organised by northern youths.
The journalists had been taken to the Durumi Police Station before being transferred to the FCT Police Command Headquarters.

They were later released by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Charge of Operation, Ben Igweh, after being subjected to unnecessary interrogation on their motives for covering the protest.
The police also previewed the video clips from their camera.
SaharaReporters earlier reported that the police tortured and dehumanised the #NorthIsBleeding protesters arrested in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
SaharaReporters had also reported how the Nigerian police arrested two protesters and two journalists with Roots TV in Abuja in the ongoing #NorthIsBleeding protest.
The protesters had on Wednesday morning staged the massive protest at the Nigerian Labour House popular known as Ayuba Wabba House, Central Area, while asking the labour leaders to join in the campaign in demanding an end to the killings going on in the northern region.
But the police violently disrupted the peaceful rally as protesters were about to terminate the protest under the Area 1 bridge.
Two protesters had been beaten to a stupor in the process and whisked into a Hilux van.
