The last time president Muhammadu Buhari was interviewed about his choice of candidates, he said that he won’ t name the person at that time saying that he would not name him for security reasons.

Few hours after the National convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, a report has emerged about the former governor of Rivers state. It was said that the former governor and current minister of transportation has been rumoured to be president Muhammadu Buhari’ s choice of candidate for years coming 2023 Presidency.

It was said that Minister, Rotimi Ameachi got extra security amid rumour of president Muhammadu Buhari’ s endorsement ahead of the coming 2023 Presidency.

Of course, it might be the truth because there an element of truth in every rumour spread on the social media platforms. It may be true because the president has been insisting of zoning the 2023 presidency to the South region. The fact that he has not endorsed Tinubu or anyone yet and his insist on zoning 2023 Presidency to the South may show that the rumour about Ameachi’ s endorsement by him may be the truth.

Meanwhile, according to reports, minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi now has extra security, a development linked to the race for Nigeria’ s 2023 presidency.

Sources claim President Muhammadu Buhari is favourably disposed towards seeing the former Rivers Governor succeed him.

” The President will not raise an objection if Amaechi desires to contest. In the interim, the calculation is he will run alongside (Governor) El- Rufai.

” Also, I can confirm that security around the minister has been doubled. This could not have happened without Mr President’ s clearance” , one said.

Apart from additional protective operatives keeping watch, Amaechi currently moves about in a recently purchased bulletproof Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).

During an interview in January, the Nigerian leader declined to reveal his preferred choice for the country’ s topmost job.
