Who could this man be? she has always told me everything about this mystery man and the things he did for her.
The mystery man carries out a clean job, no trace and no clue. But then we agreed on executing a plan after our discussion on Friday evening.
The next morning I heard a knock on my door, I hurriedly went to check who was at the door. It was no other than my neighbor”Mummy Bisi”, she is a beautiful lady, amazing mother, caring and loving.
she is jovial and very hard-working.
Everyone around the neighborhood loved her and that included me, she is my best and closest friend.
We always talked about anything and everything.
Back to the door….she came in and sat on the sofa, I could read disappointed all over her face. I inquired from her what happened.
She said she didn’t wake-up early to carry out our plan due to the fact that Bisi her daughter was burning up all night and by the time she closed her eyes to take a little nap it was already 45 minutes past 8am.
Then it dawned on me that we had a discussion on how to”Meet or should I say Catch the Mystery Man!
I dare not say I forgot but I really forgot and also didn’t wake up early because I was watching movies all night.
She called my name “Tina” where you able to meet with him?
I told her No cause I woke up late too.
“I met his gift again! at my doorstep this morning, it’s fustrating I taught I was going to meet him today” she lamented.
This gift were not just clothes or shoes, it included money oftentimes and bouquet of flowers.
She always got to see these gifts in the morning.
She once told me she was going to put all the gift together and return them one day when she finds out who is behind all of this, I laughed so much that day and then told her madam use them or I’ll use them for you.
She gave me a set of flowers that I was lurking around on one day, I thanked her so much for it.
After she told me another gift was dropped this morning, I told her not to worry much that we will meet him by next Saturday since he always drops the gift on Saturday morning and now we have also calculated the time he is most likely to come.
I also told her to calm down and not feel disappointed, that next Friday I’ll sleep over at her house so we can meet this Mystery Man together.
We talked for a little while before she left for her apartment and I made sure she had cheered up.
After she left, I began to think about her misfortune.
She was a single mom, the father of her child ran off immediately he learnt she was pregnant. Who does that! An irresponsible Man ofcourse, After 2 year’s it has been her and her child. She wasn’t in any relationship.
She even told me she wasn’t ready for anything just yet, I totally understood why and I encourage her even more.
On one occasion she told me she didn’t know what to tell her daughter when she start asking about her dad, I told her everything will fall in place that her child will grow to understand and God will send a Man that can be that father figure for her daughter.
Whenever she had need for a shoulder to lean on, am glad to always be there for her.
Twice i have seen her smile so sweetly while reading those card attached to the flower’s, I prayed secretly for the mystery man to keep dropping those flowers so she can smile more and be happy.
Keep been good to my friend mystery man cause she deserves all the goodness you show to her.
