A 21- year- old man from Somabula communal farms on the outskirts of Gweru committed suicide by hanging, allegedly after he was denied c0njugal rights(s£x) by his 18- year- old wife.

According to the local Councillor Adam Shava, the now deceased man, Dumisani Matonsi of Plot 12 Rodell Farm, Somabula had a misunderstanding over c0njugal rights with his newly- married wife.

He then walked out of the bedroom at night in protest.

The incident occured Tuesday night, May 11.

” After about an hour of the husband walking out of the bedroom, the wife, Sarah Mazambatate woke up to check out on him and apologize but he was nowhere to be found in his room and none of the spare rooms. The young wife, Sarah in fear rushed outside to check on opened drinking bars at that very moment to search for her husband only to find him hanging on a Msasa tree branch within the yard, ” he said.

She screamed in shock and bustard into tears, blaming herself for his death since it was her duty to satisfy him s£xually which she denied him that very moment leading to his death.

The few who heard her screamed uncontrollably came around just to witness the death of her husband who hunged flexibly dead on a tree in their yard.

The matter was then reported to Gweru Rural Police Stattion under sudden death report RBR number 4703082.

The case is clear and no other evidence was needed to prove the story the young wife told about the death of her husband which she blamed herself for his death

The court has heard the weird news and yet to decide the young woman’ s fate in the law but the high court judge assured her charges won’ t be anything much since she did not kill her husband herself

Taking this into consideration, the man was the cause of his own death, the woman being his wife doesn’ t mean she’ s an object of s£x even if she doesn’ t want it. Married couples should learn to work out their differences both emotionally and physiologically.
